SAO PAULO – On Wednesday (24), President Jair Bolsonaro officialized the inauguration of the new ministers of the General Secretary, Onyx Lorenzoni, and Citizenship, João Roma. The event, in Brasilia, had about 400 people.

“Our mission is not to leave anyone behind, ensuring, through our social programs, a better quality of life for the population,” Roma said during his inaugural speech.

The new minister was appointed by the president of the Democratic Party (DEM), ACM Neto, Bolsonaro’s support base in the National Congress. Speculation about exchanges of command in the Ministries during the elections of the Legislative Power generated controversy that may influence the political scenario for the 2022 election.

On the other hand, Onyx Lorenzoni occupies his third ministry since the beginning of Bolsonaro Government. In the Secretary General of the Presidency his attribution is the analysis of the legality of the acts signed by the President of the Republic and the day-to-day administration of  Planalto Palace.
